Mud Hut student Lilly Smith took top honors in the 2008 Nevada County Fair with a Best of Show Award in the Junior Art & Collectibles division.
Lilly's turtle teapot was created in a summer class taught by Denise Wey.

The Mud Hut is a nonprofit educational project of the Nevada County Superintendent of Schools Office. The Mud Hut is at 161 Nevada City Highway next to the Imaginarium hands-on science museum in Nevada City.
